The weight distribution of our fruit picking bag has been carefully engineered by our team of experts to ensure that the majority of the weight is distributed through the back, rather than the shoulders. This design allows for greater freedom of movement for the arms while picking above the head, resulting in less fatigue, less stress on the arms, and increased productivity.
In addition to the ergonomic benefits, our exclusive removable and separate harness provides a hygienic solution for individual workers. The harness can be issued and set up for the exclusive use of an individual worker, with a name tag pocket included. This means that sweat and other bodily fluids remain with the harness, preventing the transmission of human transmissible bugs, smells, and viruses. The bag and harness can be separately sanitized, soaked, and laundered from time to time.
Our fruit picking bag is exceptionally strong, with a reinforced H.T. mid-carbon steel fully integrated full cage frame and medium density cell foam for longer life. The design and infield testing over several years have produced a superior product with overall durability. The large capacity 45-liter (1.27 bushels) inner pouch provides easy access and unloading portability, making it an ideal choice for horticultural fruit picking.
Fruit Picking Bag and Fully Braced Harness Assembly
Inner Frame: - The Internal steel full cage frame is made from H.T. mid carbon solid 4mm rod steel. The Fully caged frame is covered with lightweight medium density heavy duty foam wrap
Stitching Thread, Rivets and Zip: - Pillartools Textiles all use UV treated and protected 100% Polyester heavy duty stitching thread. Standard stitching and multiple stitching runs have been doubled where extra strength is required. All edge stitching has been folded 'Hem and Bound' stitched on every edge. All high strength areas have the added strength of solid rivet placement.
Inner Shell (inside): - Reinforced and stiffened inner fabrics. Soft Smooth texture, less damage to fruit
Outer Shell (Outside): - UV protected PVC coated polyester fabric for added strength while maintaining low weight.
Shaped to Fit: - Ergonomically shaped half wrap to fit the body shape.
Two Position Fruit Level Control: - Engineered to control short fruit drop levels with two position side expander straps for extra capacity.
Hi-Viz Band: - Top rim Hi Viz and night Reflect band. Designed to be used 24 hrs a day.
Solid Side Bib Connectors: - Heavy-duty 4mm steel side Bib retaining PIN'S and large locating rings on heavy duty Side Straps. Fast, accurate and very strong.
Harness locating Loops: - Heavy Duty 4mm steel harness locating Loops, critically positioned for best balance of the Bag when full.
Heavy Duty Side Bib Straps: - Side Straps from front Bib are smooth edged and flat, Clean no knots, means less damage to fruit.
Control Side Straps: - Better control of side straps with 20mm diameter padded handle holds and 400mm trailing hand control strap.
NOTE: The flat smooth side strip and smooth steel connection rings, a superior system, have been aggressively tested in the field over several years with zero notifiable fruit damage
Steel ‘Clip’ Loops for the harness attachment: - The two harness side Loops have been mounted fractionally forward of the Centre of Gravity allowing the front of the Bag to lift slightly upwards and back towards the body (not forward) in the empty configuration. Once Fruit (or weight) is placed in the bag, the bag will self- level and the strain will now be felt on the Harness straps. This exclusive design feature allows the Bag to stay on the level through the filling process.
I.D. and Name Pocket: - A strategically place, easy to see clear plastic I.D. pouch mounted on the top HiViz band for slide in personal and bag I.D. labels.
Weight - Super Light: - Weighs just 1.70 Kilograms (not including harness) - Using lightweight materials makes this the lightest Fruit Picking Bag of its construction style type available. That means less fatigue to the worker/picker and a more productive and higher picking rate

Taking the weight of the full Fruit Picking Bag, reducing the weight from the shoulders and arms and evenly dispersing this stress flow across the back and waist of the body. Simply, we believe this is the most comfortable Harness on the Market Shoulder Padding: - Pillartools has designed and manufactured ergonomically designed Shoulder Padding with pressure point surgical foam indentations for superior all day wearing shoulder comfort. Back Padding: - Pillartools has designed two pressure point comfort padding placements horizontally across the Upper and the Lower Harness, with external HiViz night reflector strips facing to the rear Front Protection Shield: - The Pillartools Harness has incorporated front foam filled ‘fruit protection shields’. These cover and protect the front adjustment buckles and Clips where the harness can also be further adjusted.
