Genuine Pillar Tools® Biodegradable Tape Roll is made from corn starch polymer celluloid, high density polyethylene (binder), calcium carbonate, photo-decomposer, and is 100% biodegradable. Using corn starch instead of petro-chemicals to create the film means in Open Air, depending on different environments, has a expected life of about eighteen months or more. The tape is unstable in light, causing it to eventually breakdown to dust and will naturally break down in around 180 - 360 days when composted in soil. Pillar Tools® Bio-Tape is NOT UV protected. It is water resistant.

It’s silky smooth texture, ultra-thin 0.125mm film and superior strength, makes for fast, smooth operation through most Tape Binding Tools.

Our Pillar Tools® Biodegradable Tape Rolls are ideal where the tape needs to eventually “disappear”, especially in enclosed conditions like organic nurseries, orchards and vineyards.
